Interim Measures for the Management of Visiting Professors


In order to enhance the strength of the International Business School, strengthen the construction of disciplines, improve the level of scientific research, and promote the improvement of the level of education and teaching quality, our school will employ visiting professors (part-time) according to actual needs. In order to regulate this work, this measure is specially formulated.


I. Employment conditions


1. Visiting professors must support the line, principles, and policies of education, love the cause of education, and have good ideological and moral qualities and professionalism.


2. In addition to meeting the requirements of professional matching and research direction, visiting professors should also meet one of the following conditions:


(1) Experts, scholars, social figures of high prestige, government officials and business leaders with a doctoral degree or senior professional title, who have a certain influence and reputation in the same industry in the country or province (state);


(2) Those with profound academic achievements, who have made significant contributions and achieved outstanding results in their disciplines;


(3) Those who can play an important role in promoting the construction of our college's disciplines, curriculum, faculty, laboratories, and academic exchanges and cooperation;


(4) Experts and scholars from all walks of life in society who have made outstanding contributions to the construction and development of our college.


2. Responsibilities of visiting professors


1. Take on the teaching tasks of the urgently needed courses, regularly come to the college's online classroom to conduct academic lectures, guide academic and scientific research, convey the latest information, introduce cutting-edge achievements, broaden the academic horizons of teachers and students, and provide guidance to young teachers as a mentor;


2. Participate in guiding the college's teaching, scientific research, management and discipline construction;


3. Support the development and reform of the college, provide consultation and suggestions;


4. Provide convenient conditions such as venues or other assistance for the college's teaching and scientific research.


3. Recruitment procedures


1. The appointment of visiting professors should be recommended by two college leaders or the person in charge of the major, and after obtaining the consent of the person appointed, it shall be reported to the deputy dean in charge for approval;


2. After review by the deputy dean in charge, the agreement will be signed and the appointment letter will be issued.


IV. Appointment period and termination


1. Appointment period of visiting professors: The specific appointment period shall be negotiated by both parties in a friendly manner according to the work needs. If the appointment is to be renewed, the appointment renewal procedure shall be carried out according to the appointment procedure;


2. Forms of appointment of visiting professors: short-term guidance and regular guidance.


3. If a visiting professor has any of the following circumstances, the school shall terminate the appointment:


(1) The appointment period of the visiting professor expires and the appointment renewal procedure has not been completed;


(2) The visiting professor violates relevant laws or causes adverse effects on our school;


(3) The visiting professor violates the content of the agreement.


V. Management and other matters


1. The college issues a letter of appointment to the visiting professor and negotiates to determine the tasks during the appointment period;


2. The relevant departments shall designate a person to be responsible for maintaining close and regular contact with the hired visiting professors to ensure the fulfillment of the agreed obligations;


3. During the period of employment of the hired personnel in the college, the relevant departments shall provide good working and living conditions and do a good job in various service work;


4. The treatment of visiting professors shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant documents of the college and after consultation and agreement between the two parties.


VI. This regulation shall be implemented from the date of issuance and the Academic Affairs Office shall be responsible for its interpretation.
